Some Of My Favorite Things

Some Of My Favorite Things

I love so many things but I do have some that are on top of the list. You all know I already love yoga and Ayurveda so no need for me to jot them down here. ;)

Here are a few things I LOVE:

1. Journals and Pens!!!

Yea I'm a sucker for all that is journals, pens and stickers (you're never too wise for some motivating stickers!!!). I love the daily planner I use from Ink and Volt and this pen is one of my favorites...have it in every color.

They also have some awesome notebooks and desk pads for organizing daily tasks and To Do's.

I can't visit their site too often or my checking account funds will disappear!

2. Evernote

Evernote is my favorite digital organizing tool. I've been using it since 2009!!!

You can organize your whole life within Evernote. I use it for my business and for home life. You make notebooks which you can stack within each other to keep all organized and clean looking. And within Notebooks you create notes. I have Notebook for all my recipes, for the yoga sequences I create, for all the workshops and products I have created, for logging ideas (like the online women's membership that is brewing in my mind), current year receipts to keep for taxes, and tons more.

The thing I love about Evernote is you can scan a document and send it right into an Evernote notebook of your choice right from your phone. You know when you're looking through magazines and you see a recipe you want to keep, and normally you rip that page out and then you have pages like that all over the place (come on, admit it, lol)? Well you can use the Evernote scannable app, scan the document and send it right into the Recipes Notebook. LOVE THAT!! Less mess and so simple!

Then when you go to the food store, all you need to do is open up your Evernote app, choose a recipe you want to make and there's your ingredient list! Genius!

The other thing I love is you can use Evernote on any device so that simplifies things again! You can use it on your computer or laptop and on any IOS device. There is a free version but I use the paid version called Premium Evernote which is about $8 per month and worth it if you use it a lot like I do.

3. The Ayurveda Experience Products

I love products by The Ayurveda Experience. I use the Kesaradi Daily Face Oil and Manjish Glow Elixir for the night time.

I am also a loyal devoted fan to Rujahari Oil to support and rejuvenate muscles and joints. I use this nightly on my knees and also used it when I broke my kneecap last summer.

I massage it on my hands and wrist every night to help relieve and support my knuckles and wrist joints. I swear by this stuff and even my husband is using it every night. I always keep an extra bottle in the closet because I don't like running out of this, what they call, the legendary oil!

I've also been loving the Ambharing Age Embrace Revitalizer and Hair Oil (notice how they call it 'age embrace' and not 'anti-aging'? Love that!). I've been loving how it makes my hair and scalp feel, giving my hair softness and shine.

And of course there are no parabens, chemicals or mineral oil used. Ingredients are 100% natural and not tested on animals.

4. Nature

I love being outdoors and especially at the BEACH in the early AM hours.

I take a journal and pen (of course), go for a little walk, then sit on the beach in stillness for a bit then journal. I'm always amazed at what comes out of me when I do this. I've looked back at some things I've written and was like, 'holy cow! What an insight!!!'

Truly, taking time out for yourself everyday, (and being outside when you can) in the early morning hours, practicing just a tiny bit of self care does a world of good. It shifts your perspective, starts your day rolling right, and because you've taken care of yourself first, you can then be a better person to everyone else you come into contact with including your family, kids, pets, friends and strangers.

5. Movies With Amazing Messages

I love movies with deep messages and especially movies based on true stories.

Green Book is one of my all time favorites at the moment. And Viggo is one of my all-time favorite actors. I would watch him in any single movie he makes.

I highly recommend Green Book. And after the 3rd or 4th time watching it, it gets even better!

And, if you did not see Captain Fantastic, go watch it now!!! And no, it's not a marvel comics movie (though I admit a love those too). It's about a guy raising his family off the grid. The first scene is a little rough, but after that you're good to go. It's another one of my favorites.

Last movie I'm going to recommend is The Upside. Another one of my all-time favorites and based on a true story. I also saw the original one called The Intouchables which was also amazing which is in French.

If you watch or have seen any of these movies, let me know what you think.
